Privacy Policy

• Your trackpad touches are processed on your Mac and never leave it.
• The app has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
• The app only goes online to activate, check or deactivate a license key.
• The website uses privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and clicks.
• Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. We never see your card details.
• We don't sell or share your data for advertising.

Trackpad input. Haptiker reads finger positions from your trackpad to detect edge gestures. This happens entirely on your Mac, in memory, and is never stored or sent anywhere.

Settings. Your preferences (edge width, sensitivity, actions and so on) are saved locally in macOS user defaults.

Trial and license. The date your free trial started, your license key and its activation ID are stored in your Mac's Keychain.

License checks. When you activate, validate or deactivate a license, the app sends a request to the Lemon Squeezy license API containing your license key, an activation ID and your Mac's computer name (so you can recognise the device in your license). Like any internet request, this also reveals your IP address to Lemon Squeezy. No other data is sent.

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, billing address and email to process the order, calculate tax and send your receipt and license key.

We receive the order details Lemon Squeezy shares with sellers, such as your name, email address, country and what you bought. We use them only to deliver your license, provide support and handle refunds.

We use a self-hosted instance of OpenPanel to understand how the site is used. It records:

• Pages viewed and which sections of the page were scrolled into view
• Clicks on buttons and links, such as Buy, Download and the promo offer
• The referring website, browser, operating system and device type
• An approximate location (country and city) derived from your IP address

This data is used only in aggregate to improve the site. It is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared with third parties.

The website and downloads are served by hosting providers that keep standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser) for security and reliability.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and help you. We keep the conversation for as long as it is useful for support.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to how it is used. To make a request, email hello@haptiker.app. For payment data held by Lemon Squeezy, you can also contact them directly.

To remove all app data from your Mac, quit Haptiker, delete the app and remove the "Haptiker" items from Keychain Access.

Haptiker is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
